Dhoom 3 - Exclusive Music Review

Dhoom 3 - Music Review

Music - Pritam

Dhoom 3 Tracklist

1. Malang - Shilpa Rao, Siddharth Mahadevan

Was the first song promo to be released, and may be due to the hype regarding the song like 'most expensive song' etc the expectation was huge and the short 30sec promo couldn't satisfy it. Fell the song was an average track till the full version was heard, it catches on you instantly a sure shot hit track. Superb instrumentation by Pritam coupled by good vocals & singing of Shilpa & Siddarth. The way 'Dhoom' theme is mixed to the song in one potion was beautiful, cherry on top. With the breath taking visuals it will surely bowl everyone over.

3.5/5

2. Kamli – Sunidhi Chauhan

The first thing & mabe only thing one noticed when the video promo came out would have been the smoking hot Katrina Kaif and her amazing acrobatic moves. But give a listen to the full track (audio) Sunidhi has done an equally awesome job to lift an otherwise average song to new levels. As a song it may be average but Katrina & Sunidhi lifts makes it worth watching & listening

3/5

3. Tu Hi Junoon -Mohit Chauhan

Reminds us of Mohit's previous tracks, especially the Rockstar ones. Video Promo is not yet out, so can't talk about the impact it can create, but as a song felt it was average, even though Mohit's voice, as always, was soulful

2.75/5

4. Bande Hain Hum Uske - Shivam Mahadevan & Anish Sharma

The best song in the album. Superb music, very good vocals and overall a nice feel to the song. May not be an instant chart buster type, but for sure will last a longer time in memories for sure.

4/5

5. Dhoom - Title/Theme Songs & its various versions

The original tune has still got some elements left, whichever way you remix it, it will be a hit, may not be as great as the previous versions but still end up as a good mass stylish number.  3/5

The Tap song - Instrumental, once again a different attempt, might appeal more with the visuals and the tap dance choreography 2.75/5

Overture - Instrumental, no vocals - its Okay 2.5/5

Arabic - not comparable to the English version by Tata Young for 1st installment, Arabic mixing is good but lacks a punch 2.5/5

All in all Dhoom 3 is a much better album that what was expected of it, may not be as good as Dhoom 1 but for sure is better than Dhoom 2, which I didn't like that much.

Overall Rating: - 3/5

Good
